Will my son or daughter be positively influenced by others?
The admissions process at Dar al-Burhan is designed to enrol students who are serious about memorizing the Quran and emulating the one who embodied it ﷺ. Our behaviour policy is designed to ensure that all members of the school work together in a positive and accountable manner. Dar al-Burhan also has strict guidelines and scheduling to ensure male and female segregation, and supervision at all times. Male and Female Guidance Counsellors meet with their respective students, listen to their experiences and guide them through their journey.
Despite these measures, we expect students to misbehave because they are growing children with different experiences, ages and personality types. Having to grapple with this reality is an opportunity for students to genuinely mature in preparation for the real world in which diversity, conflict and character differences exists.

Does the school offer academic subjects such as math?
No. It is important for parents to understand that Dar al-Burhan is a specialized school that spans a relatively short time in the academic lives of its students. The academy is not a substitute for conventional schooling. If students require formal lessons in Math, English, Science and other subjects taught in a conventional school, it is expected that their parents find an alternative means to learn these subjects after school or at home.
